Welcome To Bright Beginnings
Bright Beginnings Central Virginia (BBCV) is a regional initiative serving the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell, and the city of Lynchburg. BBCV is housed within the United Way of Central Virginia, which serves as its fiscal agent. BBCV serves as a facilitator of conversation and action focusing on the needs of children and families.
BBCV is also a key partner of Virginia’s Ready Region Southside, which falls under the leadership of the Center for Early Success in Danville.
Our Vision is that all children are supported in getting ready for kindergarten, to lay the building blocks for kindergarten success and third-grade reading proficiency.
Summer Learning Kits
Summer Learning Kits by Bright Beginnings to are full of suggestions for interacting with preschool or rising kindergarten children to practice pre-math and pre-literacy skills through play and activities. Young children learn best through play, when they aren’t even aware that they are learning new things.
